The Old Posting House is a traditional 16th Century Coaching Inn, specialising in good food, real ales and high-quality Bed & Breakfast accommodation.

Accommodation consists of four double en-suite rooms. Each room is furnished to a high standard with flat screen digital televisions and tea/coffee making facilities.

Good food is served every day from 12 - 2pm and 6.30pm - 9.30pm. Our Sunday Lunch Menu is excellent value at only £12 for 3 courses.

The Old Posting House is located on the very edge of the Lake District National Park in the small village of Deanscales, Cockermouth, making it an ideal base for exploring both the Lake District and West Cumbria.

"The first Christmas we had away from home, we stayed for 3 nights from Christmas eve and had the fabulous Christmas dinner, Mick and Graham were great hosts very friendly and welcoming. Our room was extremely clean and very comfortable with lovely furnishings and brilliant views. The food was to die for some of the best food we have had in a long time.We will definitely be returning to the Old Posting House and would recommend to anyone.Thank you for making our Christmas special."
